The rules of the Durak Transferable game
Durak Transferable is a popular card game that combines the thrill, sporting interest and development of non-verbal memory. It requires a deck of 36 cards, the roles of which are involved into the game in order of precedency from the lowest to the highest in the following way: six, seven, eight, nine, ten, Jack, Queen, King, Ace.
The aim of the game is to get rid of all of one’s cards before the other players.
What is the difference between Durak Transferable and Durak Classic?
If a player doesn’t want to defend, they can pass the move to the next opponent by dropping a card of the same rank. In this case the next defender has either to take or to beat all the passed cards, or to add one more card of the same rank and to pass the move to the next player.
The course of the game
- In the beginning of the game each player is given six cards.
- The system determines the trump card which is placed under the main deck on the panel. Its suit is considered trump throughout the whole game and beats any card of another suit.
- The first move is made by the player who has the lowest trump and then the game goes clockwise.
- It is allowed to play several cards of the same rank at a time and also to add cards of the same rank as those used in attack and defense during the round.
- The attacker cannot play more cards than the defender has in hand.
- An attacked player has three options: to defend, to take the card or to pass the move if not a single card has been beaten yet.
- In order to defend, the defender can choose either a higher card (but of the same suit) or any trump, and a trump card can be beaten only by a higher rank trump.
- After a finished round the players are given the lacking cards from the deck (up to 6 cards). The first attacker is the first to get cards. The last one who gets cards is the defender.
Final
The loser is the last player who failed to get rid of all their cards.
