Klondike's rules
Klondike is one of the most popular varieties of card solitaire. To play, you need one deck of cards, that is, 52 cards.
The goal of the game is to sort out all the cards by their suit (sequentially, from the youngest to the oldest ones) in four empty cells.
Gameplay
- Initially, the system distributes 28 cards in 7 piles. There is only one card in the first pile, and one card is added to the remaining six, that is, if there is only 1 card in the first pile, then 2 cards in the second one, 3 cards in the third pile, 4 cards in the fourth one, 5 cards in the fifth one, 6 cards – in the sixth pile, 7 cards – in the seventh one;
- Cards in the seven bottom piles are upturned. An exception is the top cards of the same piles: they are dealt in a turned way;
- The remaining 24 cards are located in a common pile in the upper corner of the playing field;
- The top row also has four empty cells. The participant puts the cards on them in increasing order: from the youngest to the oldest one. The starting card is an ace;
- In the seven lower piles, it is allowed to transfer the lowest card to the higher in rank. But this is possible only with cards of different colors (for example, the queen of spades – for the king of hearts, or the seven of diamonds – for the eight of clubs).
Final
Solitaire is considered to be completed if the participant managed to collect all the cards by house (foundation), distributing them by suit, from ace to king.
