Tetris rules
Tetris is a well-known game of the puzzle genre, for which figures consisting of four squares are used. Similar figures are called tetrominoes.
The goal of the game is to fill the rows with as many figures as possible, while not reaching the upper horizontal of the playing field.
Gameplay
- Tetrominoes fall from above into a rectangular glass with a size of 10 cells by 20.
- The game is realized through the arrows on the keyboard: the left and right arrows are responsible for moving the figures horizontally, the up arrow unfolds the tetromino, and the down arrow accelerates the fall speed.
- The shape of the figures each time varies by the system. The only thing that remains the same every time is the number of squares in one tetromino: there are always four of them.
- During the flight of each figure, the player has the ability to move it in a horizontal direction and turn it 90 degrees.
- If the player quickly determines the future location of the flying tetromino, then he/she can use the figure reset function. This function increases the speed of fall.
- The horizontal row, in which all 10 cells are filled, is automatically removed from the screen. This allows the playing field to fill up more slowly.
- The pace of the game accelerates over time.
Scoring points
- 1 row – 100 points;
- 2 rows – 800 points;
- 3 rows – 2700 points;
- 4 rows – 6400 points.
Final
The game is considered to be completed when there is no place in the glass for the falling figure.
The winner is determined by the number of points scored for the completed rows.
