Rules of the Double Klondike Game

Double Klondike is a variety of solitaire that is especially popular among Klondike fans. The main feature of this version is that here you have to use two card decks instead of one.

The goal of the game is to gather all the cards on eight bases.

Course of the Game

• At the bottom of the field there are playing rows where the number of cards is increased.
• Initially, the system distributes cards into nine piles, the number of cards in the piles corresponds to their ordinal number: in the first pile there is 1 card, in the second – 2 cards, in the third – 3 cards etc. The remaining cards are put into the reserve deck.
• All cards on the board, except the top ones, are face down.
• In the lower playing rows, the user can place the lower-ranked card onto the higher one. The main condition for this is the contrast of the suit (the cards must be of different color). For example, a nine of spades is put onto a ten of diamonds, and a Queen of clubs is put onto a King of hearts. It is also allowed to shuffle several cards at once.
• If you managed to free a row, then it is allowed to place any King into the empty space.
• In the upper part of the field there are eight free cells, into which all the cards must be arranged according to their suits. You have to gather them in ascending order, that is first put an Ace, then a six onto it, a seven onto the six and so on all the way to the King.
